Well, tomorrow is the day. I know it isn’t Thanksgiving, but I’m having the BodPod reading done in the morning, so I’m going to consider that the final exam so to speak. I will fail on my goal of hitting 220 as I seem to have plateaued for some reason despite eating at a deficit — this is why I alluded to it not always being strictly CICO in an early post.
The End is near. Monday is in the books and we’ve got one more full day before I get my BodPod reading done and two more days before I get some of that pumpkin deliciousness and other foods I’ve started craving over the last three weeks. Honestly, that list is pretty short — just the Thanksgiving sweets, a supreme pizza, a McRib, and some insane boneless wings from Zaxbys.
I’m pretty sure I could have been classified as an illegal chemical weapon today. I knew consuming 250 plus grams of fat was going to be a gastrointestinal issue, but boy oh boy… let’s just say I’m sorry for every public place I entered today. Muh bad.
Well shit. Today I ate and ate. Then ate some more. Today was the first day that I ate past both my daily limit and what I earned in the gym. Whats more, I have a sneaking suspicion that I may be getting a cold or the flu as I felt a bit dizzy a couple times out of the blue today. I’m going to double fist water the rest of the night with some ascorbic acid in hopes of …
We’re heading into the final weekend of the Turkey Trot Challenge. While I’m not having any problems with temptation, I am seriously starting to look forward to eating some treats next Thursday. Another guilty pleasure of mine is the McDonald’s McRib and I shall have one or two next Friday — I’ll have it without the bun so it won’t be that bad, but the sugar in BBQ sauce is a keto no-no. Man, my mouth is watering thinking about …
So it took about two weeks. Had a scoop of natural peanut butter today and it tasted sweet. Have also started noticing everything else with any sort of sugar in it tastes different from when I’m consuming a more relaxed diet. In any event, I got a ton of sleep last night so I woke up feeling really good with no back pain for the first time in weeks.
This is going to be a quick entry as I’m tired and it was an uneventful day. Weight bounced back a couple ounces, it was leg day in the gym, and I wanted to eat everything that wasn’t nailed down, especially after hitting leg day really hard tonight. My back was acting up all day long and the numbness coming and going is just beyond frustrating.
Woooooooosh. Okay, so I predicted another small drop/jump but instead my body said, nah bro, we’ve got you. Weight loss/gain is just a weird phenomenon and while I believe in “calories in, calories out,” these unexplainable drops always make you wonder what else is part of that equation. I mean, it is a weekly pay check type of setup? If that is the case, can it be more like the IRS and just tax the shit out of me?
So we’re now officially past the half way point and down 13 pounds. I’d say that is a success but weight loss has basically stalled and is just bouncing up and down at 227 pounds. Now, that said, I do feel like I’ve experienced a pretty fair amount of fat loss as I’ve got some veins popping through in my abdomen area — I’ll spare you the trainwreck photos, don’t worry.
Pfft. Can’t stop, addicted to the shindig. I’ve preached consistency since I’ve started this series and while I’d normally do some light work or even take the day off, I decided to double down today. So what was on the docket? An intense leg day of course. Several of my friends have asked what a leg day looks like to me, so since I don’t have much else to talk about, I’m going to give a breakdown of what I …
